Learn with Treever

About Us

Learn with Treever is a free library of printable worksheets for preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1 through 5. The site is made for grown-ups: parents, teachers, tutors, grandparents, older brothers and sisters, and anyone else who helps a child learn. You find a worksheet, print it, and sit down with the child. Everything on this site is built around that moment.

Why a puppy is on every worksheet

Treever is a puppy who likes school. He wears a cream cardigan with blue trim, keeps a pencil behind his ear, and has a small owl at his side. He is on every worksheet for one reason: a child works longer, and more happily, when the page has a friend on it. With him on the page the sheet looks friendlier and the task feels like play rather than homework. The learning is in the exercise; Treever is there so the child wants to do the exercise.

What our worksheets look like

All of our worksheets are drawn in full color, with strong outlines and readable text, and they look great from a color printer and from a black-and-white one. Print on whichever you have. Instructions never say things like the red box or the blue circle: every task is built on pictures, shapes, and words, so the page works the same way on any printer. All files are sized for US Letter paper.

Each worksheet has a line for the name and date, a short instruction in plain American English, and then one task that is already done. The child sees a finished example before picking up the pencil, and the grown-up does not have to explain the task twice. After the example come the rows marked Your turn.

You pick the worksheet

The site is sorted by level, and inside each level by topic, and the grade labels are an honest guide to what is usually practiced at that age. But children are not sorted by grade labels. Two children in the same class can be ready for very different things, and the same child can be quick with letters and still warming up to numbers. That is why the choice belongs to the adult who knows the child. If the kindergarten page looks too easy, go up a level. If the grade 1 page is a struggle today, go down a level, and nobody needs to know. The right worksheet is the one the child can do with a little effort and a little help.

What free means on this site

Everything here is free to download and print. There is no account, no sign-up, no email address to leave, no trial, and no checkout. We also do not store any information about the people who visit: no profiles, no tracking, no lists. Print one copy for the kitchen table or a stack for a whole class, as often as you like.

How the library grows

Each topic has its own page with a set of worksheets, so a child can do one sheet today and a different one tomorrow, and every sheet comes with a short description of what is on it. We add new pages regularly. If there is a topic or a skill you would like to see, tell us on the Contact page. Requests from teachers and parents decide a lot of what we make next.
