Meet Treever
Treever is a puppy in a cream cardigan with blue trim, a pencil behind his ear and a small owl at his side, and he is on every worksheet we make. In the example row he shows how the task is done; in the rows below he thinks along and cheers. He is there to make the sheet nicer to look at and the task more fun to finish, because a child who likes the page works through it with far less coaxing. The skill is in the exercise; Treever is the reason the child wants to do it.
An example on every sheet
Each worksheet opens with a line for the name and date and a short instruction, and then one task that is already solved: the line drawn, the circle made, the answer shown. Only after that come the rows marked Your turn. A child who has seen a finished example understands the task before touching the pencil, and the grown-up sitting next to them saves a lot of explaining, and a lot of patience.
Color printer or black and white, your choice
All of our worksheets are drawn in full color, with clear outlines and readable text, so they look great from a color printer and from a black-and-white one. Print on whichever you have: every task is built on pictures, shapes, and words, never on color, and the page works the same way either way. Every file is sized for US Letter paper and opens with a single click.
For the grown-ups who print them
This site is for adults: parents, teachers, tutors, grandparents, older brothers and sisters, and anyone else who helps a child learn. You choose the worksheet, and that choice matters more than any label on this site. A sheet that is too hard today teaches as little as one that is too easy, and only the person who knows the child can tell which is which. We make the material; you make the match.
